As a key feature of the advanced RevOS application included on every Revinetix disk backup appliance, Revinetix has developed an add-on agent that backs-up live, open SQL databases. Scheduled backups of a SQL server can be full, incremental, or differential. This agent provides SQL Server 2008 users with granular protection down to the individual database or file group. For other versions of SQL server, the flat file is backed up. Additional flexible recovery options allow IT administrators to restore SQL databases to destinations other than where they originated.
