Revinetix^® announced today a new release of RevOS^® advanced data protection software.  In addition to adding support for Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008, Revinetix has developed significant enhancements to increase ease-of-use and provide customer support features, including advanced client diagnostics and control of data transfer throttle rates. 

Included with the Revinetix network-attached D2D2D^® disk backup appliance, RevOS offers a suite of data protection features, including data deduplication, central administration and agents for Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL, to simplify data backup, archive and recovery management for small and medium-sized businesses and enterprises (SMB/SME).

With central administration, RevOS manages and automates backup, archive and recovery functions down to the client level for every computer connected within a network - even those connected through a Virtual Private Network (VPN). Continuing demands on IT administrators to backup and protect steadily increasing volumes of data can be extremely time consuming. The automated backup functionality in RevOS frees IT staff from backup scheduling and management, allowing them to focus on other IT tasks to support the organization.
