Steve "Max" Ackerman, Founder
and Chief Scientist
Max formerly served as co-founder and CTO of
Phobos Corp., where, in just 3 years, his extensive entrepreneurial,
management, team building, and engineering skills led to SonicWALL's
$279 million acquisition of Phobos in 2000. Max has a history
of innovative technology product development spanning 13 years
for various companies. His past successful product developments
include: SonicWALL's and Cisco's internet security offloading
devices; fiber channel net card - 3M; gigabit Ethernet - 3Com;
Fast Ethernet - Silicon Graphics. Max holds a Bachelor of
Science in Computer Science from the University of Vermont.
Thomas G. Hogan, President and CEO
Tom has 25 years experience in the high technology
field in sales and marketing management, executive management,
and board directorship. He has built a reputation for implementing
winning organizations, often targeted at the SMB market. Career
highlights include the turnaround of a small, unprofitable
manufacturer. Through the re-alignment of product offerings,
marketing strategy and sales structure, Tom led the struggling
organization to sustained profitability. He has provided leadership
to organizations varying from start-ups to the Fortune 20,
and from OEMs to distributors, and manufacturer's reps.
Christopher Hull, CTO
Chris has drawn on his early experience at
Silicon Graphics to co-develop SonicWALL and Cisco's internet
security offloading devices. Currently, Chris draws on his
background in systems and network level engineering, embedded
operating systems, ASIC design, embedded system motherboard
design, device driver and kernel development, compiler design,
and IT systems management to direct the development of Revinetix'
product line. Chris earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer
Science from the University of Vermont.
Brian B. Clark, Vice President of Sales
Prior to Revinetix, Brian served as National
Accounts Manager with Phobos Corporation, where he owned channel
development and managed key accounts, including OEM relationships
with Cisco and 3M. Brian’s contributions were
instrumental to Phobos’ success, ultimately leading
to the company’s acquisition by SonicWALL in 2000.
Prior to Phobos, Brian managed the Educational/Distribution
and DMR channels at Dayna Communications, which was acquired
by Intel Corporation in 1997. Through his career, Brian
has acquired extensive skills in building strategic relationships
and developing reseller channels. Brian graduated from
the University of Puget Sound with BS in Computer Science
and Business in 1992.
Randall Crocker, Vice President of
Marketing
With more than 20 years of marketing and product
management experience, Randy has led the marketing and sales
efforts of technology products within SMB and Fortune 50 companies.
His expertise includes identifying market opportunities, specifying
product sell and use features and developing target market
profiles. During his career, Randy has served in executive
marketing and sales positions. Most recently, these included
Senior Vice President and General Manager at ExeVision; Vice
President of Corporate Marketing at Cayenta, Inc., an ASP
(formerly ASSIST Cornerstone Technologies); and Senior Director
of Direct Marketing, CompUSA, Inc..
John Robertson, Vice President of
Engineering
A seasoned engineering executive, John brings over 20 years of successful development experience to guide strategic planning of new data protection technologies and to head the company’s development teams. John comes to Revinetix from Linux Networx, a clustered high performance computing (HPC) company where he was a product manager of their HPC Storage Solutions. Prior to Linux Networx, his work included the development of architectural and product integration designs during his tenures at Novell, Inc., Volera, Inc. and Mobile Productivity, Inc.

William R. Baumel
Bill co-founded RWI Ventures in 2000. He has a long-history in the wireless, telecommunications, and enterprise networking markets, including semiconductor firms selling into these markets. Bill was a founding shareholder and Chairman of Optical Solutions, the leading worldwide provider of GPON and IPTV systems acquired by Calix, and NetNet, a Wi-Max equipment provider acquired by Clearwire Communications. RWI Ventures investments include Infinera, Attune Systems, BlueArc, SiGe Semiconductor, Turin Networks and Vimicro (Nasdaq:VIMC). Bill holds a B.S. summa cum laude from Ohio State University and an MBA with high distinction from the University of Michigan.
Steve McBee
Steve McBee is President and Chief Executive Officer of McBee Strategic, where he provides corporate and government affairs consulting marked by his firm's business acumen, elevated standards for substantive knowledge, and pro-active approach to helping clients meet their political and business objectives in Washington, DC. McBee has extensive experience serving in the public and private sectors, including three years as COO at Denny Miller McBee Associates, four years as a senior policy aid to Congressman Norm Dicks (D-WA), and twice a legislative advisor to Congresswoman Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and Congressman Al Swift (D-WA).
Dave Norton
Dr. Norton’s career began with IBM where he served as an engineer and in engineering management for 16 years. In 1980, he left IBM and was a co-founder of the Iomega Corporation where he served as vice president of engineering, manufacturing, and operations. In 1994 he was a co-founder of Automated Solutions, Inc. (Intelisys) where he served as its CEO until 1998 when he joined the Utah State University Research Foundation as President. Dr. Norton served as a volunteer member of the Board of Trustees of the USU Research Foundation from April 1991 to April 1997 and as Chairman of the Board of Trustees from April 1997 to December 1999. Dr. Norton has had five patents and ten publications in the IBM Technical Disclosures Bulletin.
Eric Rizza
Mr. Rizza brings more than 12 years of experience in the financial services and wealth management industry. He is currently a Senior Vice-President at United States Trust Company in Seattle. Prior to joining U.S. Trust, he served as Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at Bank of America where he oversaw the management of approximately $1 billion of assets for ultra-high net worth families, institutions, endowments and foundations. From 1998 to 2005, Mr. Rizza was a Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager with Wells Fargo Private Asset Management where he served both institutional and high net-worth clients. He was also a Senior member of the Investment Strategy Group for Wells Fargo, helping to craft the asset allocation policy decisions and strategies for the firm’s $80 Billion in assets.
